Enjoy the exhibit “Caprichos de Goya”
Categories: exhibitions.
The Valencia Museum of Fine Arts hosts Francisco de Goya's “Caprichos”.
If you love art, here's a visit for you to write down on your calendar: from March 9 to June 4, you can't miss the Caprichos de Goya Exhibit at the Valencia Museum of Fine Arts.
The museum has received a complete donation of the work of the Aragonese artist printed by the Calcografía Nacional in 1968 and made by Ángel López García-Molins.
In it, the master perfected all the engraving and printing techniques he used to make this black and white series, where he exhibited more freedom and displayed a critical and dark vision of his environment in those murky years.
"Caprichos" was first published in 1799 and reflects Francisco de Goya's reaction to the serious crisis he suffered due to his illness between 1792 and 1794, which left the artist deaf.
Goya developed his more personal vision of what surrounded him and continued with works such as "The Disasters of War", "Bullfighting" and "The Follies".
This wonderful work will not disappoint you and admission is free. What more could you ask for?
