Check out the first exhibition by this talented German artist at CAHH.
From 28 April 2026, painter and sculptor Anselm Kiefer takes over and fills six entire galleries at the Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero in Valencia with his first major solo exhibition.
We're not going to lie to you, some of his work has been here before (and still is), but this time he's going all out.
This exhibition has been meticulously planned for this space, created in collaboration with it, and will be open until October 2026.
What are his pieces like?
The core theme running through all his work is landscape, together with history, literature and poetry, which greatly inspire his creations.
Here's a sneak preview!
Chief among the most striking pieces is "Danaë", a thirteen-metre-wide painting that has only been seen in New York.
It turns the interior of Berlin's Tempelhof Airport into a scene enveloped in golden rain, a visual metaphor for the myth of Danaë and Zeus.
