Visit the former Valeriola Palace, which reflects the dialogue between the city's historical past and the leading international contemporary art

If you love art, you cannot miss the Hortensia Herrero Art Center. It is one of the most impressive cultural spaces in the city.

Located in the Valeriola Palace, a 17th-century Baroque building restored over more than five years, this museum offers a complete cultural experience right in the heart of Valencia. Just a few steps from the cathedral, the center uniquely merges history and contemporary art.

Across its more than 3,500 m² of exhibition space, it presents an impressive collection featuring works by more than 50 contemporary artists of renowned international prestige, such as:

⭕ Joan Miró, David Hockney, Anselm Kiefer, Anish Kapoor, Jaume Plensa, Cristina Iglesias, Eduardo Chillida, Olafur Eliasson, among many others.

Some of the pieces have been created specifically for this site, and you will also find unique artistic interventions integrated into the building's chapels, gardens, or corridors. Additionally, you can explore Roman, Islamic, and medieval archaeological remains underground.

Ideally, you should plan your visit so you can enjoy it fully and notice every detail. After all, both the artworks and the space itself are truly worthy of admiration with close attention.
