Three different tourist buses to explore Valencia
Here’s a guide to all the tourist buses that operate in the city.
If this is your first time in the capital of the Mediterranean (or even if you’re already familiar with it), one thing you can always do to get your bearings, enjoy the views and get around easily is to hop on one of the tourist buses.
They’re comfortable, run all year round and take you to the city’s key sights with an audio guide, great views and more than fifteen stops where you can hop off at your leisure.
They will take you on a tour of the historic centre, the City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia’s urban beaches, La Marina, and even the Albufera Natural Park.
There are three different types, and yes, here’s everything you need to know about them.
Valencia Red Tourist Bus – Between €26 and €28 with discounts for children aged 5 to 12
The Valencia Tourist Bus (red) is a double-decker bus that offers a sight-seeing tour from Calle Pintor Sorolla, with the freedom to hop on and off whenever you like.
It has 17 stops all over the city so you can visit museums, stroll around La Marina, walk on the beach or take photos... and catch the next bus.
It includes a real-time audio guide in ten languages and you can choose a 24 or 48 hour ticket.
Buses run every 15 to 45 minutes. It couldn’t be easier.
Valencia Green Tourist Bus – Between €21 and €22 with discounts for children aged 6 to 16
This green bus also offers a sightseeing tour with the option of taking the entire route (about two hours) or hopping on and off at any of the 17 stops during the validity period of your ticket (24 or 48 hours).
It departs from Calle Pintor Sorolla and also from the Aqua Shopping Centre.
How is it different from the red bus? This runs less frequently (nine times a day) and features an audio guide in five languages.
Tour Albufera Tourist Bus – Adults €22, children aged 5 to 12 €15
If you fancy escaping the city and getting back to nature, the Tour Albufera Tourist Bus will take you from the centre of Valencia to the Albufera Natural Park and back.
The trip includes an audio guide in eight languages and, once there, you can enjoy a 30-minute boat trip on the lake in a traditional local boat known as an albuferenc.
The trip lasts two hours and is an ideal way to discover one of Valencia’s most iconic natural environments.
Looking for more convenience? You can choose from several departure times and stops during April, May, June, July, August, September, and October.
