9 kilometers of nature, culture, and leisure flowing through the city
The former riverbed of the Turia River is today a unique urban garden that crosses Valencia from west to east. It is the perfect place to stroll, cycle, do sport or connect with some of the city's great architectural icons. And yes, we still call it "the river", even though it no longer carries water.
Explore it by bike or on foot. Have a picnic in the shade, play sports or use it as a natural route to discover Valencia outdoors.
The most iconic bridges of the Turia Garden
From Gothic to contemporary design all in one single route
L’Assut d’Or
It is one of the three bridges by Santiago Calatrava in the city. With its 125-meter harp-shaped mast, it is one of the most recognizable elements of the City of Arts and Sciences.
Kingdom Bridge
The city's longest bridge stands out from afar thanks to the four enormous allegorical sculptures that guard it. If you walk beneath it, look up to spot the golden gargoyles that channel away the rainwater.
Brigde Flowers
It is one of the most recent ones (2002) and is decorated with thousands of flowers throughout the entire year, making it one of the favorite bridges for strolling and taking photos.
Sea Bridge
Since the 16th century, this bridge has provided the crossing over the river towards the city's maritime districts, which is how it got its name. The access staircases, added in the 20th century, give it its distinguished appearance.
Exposition Bridge
Designed by Santiago Calatrava, its grand white steel arch makes it one of the most recognizable and photographed bridges in the garden.
Bridge del Real
Elegant and monumental, it was the access route to the now-vanished Royal Palace, whose remains can be seen in the Viveros Gardens.
Trinidad Bridge
The oldest bridge in Valencia, built in the 15th century. It preserves historical sculptures and is one of the great medieval symbols of the former riverbed.
Pont de Fusta
Heir to the old pedestrian footbridge that connected the Morvedre neighborhood with the city center, today it offers a reinterpreted version where traffic and pedestrians coexist.
Serranos Bridge
Erected in the 16th century, its name comes from the travelers who arrived in the city from the mountain region (the Serranía).
