Fancy taking in the Valencia Marathon from a prime location?
On 7 December, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Palau will be opening its doors for you to enjoy this major sporting event in a different way, with the “Marathon at Les Arts”.
You can watch the runners cross the finish line from above, soak up the atmosphere of Valencia’s most international race (last year it attracted more than 35,000 participants) and enjoy the best panoramic view of the City of Arts and Sciences.
You will also have the chance to take an audio-guided tour of the stunning building designed by Santiago Calatrava to learn about its architecture.
But that’s not all!
You can enjoy it with a gourmet twist, combining the experience with a sweet and savoury brunch for €50, or a lighter bite to eat for €22.
Which one will you choose?
The Valencia Marathon is one of the most popular events of the year, which implies traffic disruptions in much of the city centre and surrounding areas, particularly between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Find all the information you need about the most affected areas here... don’t let it catch you by surprise!
Restrictions will mainly affect La Alameda, the historic centre, the City of Arts and Sciences, the port area and the Turia waterway, where part of the route runs.
Do you have to move around? Check out all the changes in traffic and public transport in the city. Some metro lines, such as Line 10, are making more stops than usual, and EMT (public transport service) is stepping up service on several routes to facilitate mobility.
