“The Last Days of Pompeii” immersive exhibition in Valencia
Categories: exhibitions.
TOURISTIC AREA: Outskirts
Travel to the Roman Empire with the immersive archaeological exhibition hosted by Bombas Gens.
The ground in Valencia is set to shake in autumn 2026 with the premiere of “The Last Days of Pompeii”, the immersive blockbuster that recreates one of humanity’s most fascinating tragedies.
Bombas Gens will take over hosting the event from October, proving once again that it is a mecca for digital culture.
What is there to see?
In the museum’s exhibition rooms, you’ll have the chance to step through a time portal that will transport you back to the year 79 AD using state-of-the-art technology.
You will learn about the Roman Empire and the daily life of its inhabitants before the great catastrophe.
The tour features immersive projections, an impressive metaverse environment, and various rooms where you’ll need to wear VR glasses.
Thanks to this digital display, you can walk along the ancient Roman roads, access the spectacular frescoes of the Villa of the Mysteries, feel the adrenaline of gladiatorial combats and also witness the impressive naval battles that took place at the time.
The best part of the experience is that you’ll be there at the very moment Mount Vesuvius erupts, completely engulfing the city in lava and forever sealing the fate of all its inhabitants.
Beyond technology
In addition to the resources deployed to recreate the final days of Pompeii, Bombas Gens will also be hosting a collection of original material, genuine artefacts from the period and replicas of the bodies that reflect the town’s dramatic demise.
Are you joining us? Tickets will go on sale in September 2026.
