“La Conquista”: cycle from Burgos to Valencia
Categories: sport.
Explore castles, canyons and forests on a bikepacking route that crosses half of Spain.
A thousand years ago, El Cid rode through these lands with sword in hand, and now it’s your turn, but with GPS, a jersey and a passion for cycling.
From 5 to 8 June 2026, ‘La Conquista’ kicks off, a challenging bikepacking adventure that connects Burgos with Valencia over 650 km and more than 9,000 metres of elevation gain.
This is no ordinary route; it is a journey where you will discover castles, canyons, deserts, medieval villages, forests, temples, plateaus and more than 100 cultural landmarks.
You will also cross three natural parks, pass through six checkpoints, feed at seven refreshment posts and have several mechanical points.
Sign up now and conquer the whole route.
You can come alone, as a couple or as a team and there is a Team Relay option, if you prefer to do “La Conquista” by relays.
Ah! And you get a jersey, cap and GPS tracker so no one can say you weren’t there.
