Explore castles, canyons and forests on a bikepacking route between Burgos and Valencia.

A millennium ago, El Cid rode through these lands with sword in hand and now it's your turn, but with GPS, cycling gear and a burning desire to pedal.

On 13 June 2025, "La Conquista" gets underway, which is a challenging bikepacking adventure that links Burgos with Valencia over a distance of 650 km and with over 9,000 metres of positive altitude gain.

This is no ordinary route, but a journey of discovery through castles, canyons, deserts, medieval villages, forests, temples, plateaus and more than 100 cultural landmarks.

You will also travel through three natural parks, pass six checkpoints, replenish your energy at seven refreshment points and find several service areas.

You can come alone, as a couple or as a team and there is a Team Relay option, if you prefer to do "La Conquista" by relays.

Ah! What's more, you get a cycling top, cap and GPS tracker so that no one can say you weren't there.
