"Autumn Concerts" series at the University of Valencia

NOVEMBER

12 November at 7 p.m. – "In Between" Concert – Chapel of La Sapiencia, La Nau

Elana Sasson on vocals, Manos Stratis on double bass and Santiago Bertel on piano will amaze you performing their album "In Between".

19 November at 7 p.m. – "Un piano a Polònia" concert – Capilla de la Sapiencia, La Nau

Pianists Violeta Casero Costa and James Lipka will bring works by Szymanowska, Chopin and Bacewicz to life.

26 November at 7 p.m. – "Il Furore" concert – Capilla de la Sapiencia, La Nau

Vincent Touzet on the transverse flute, Raquel Masmano on the violin, Mario Salinas on the viola da gamba, and Daniel Ortega on the harpsichord (all Baroque instruments) will perform pieces by Couperin, Rameau, and Leclair.

DECEMBER

2 December at 7 p.m. – "Anhels de l'ànima" concert – Joan Plaça Auditorium, Botanical Gardens

Soprano Belén Roig and guitarist Miquel Pérez team up for a programme featuring pieces by Ernesto Halffter, Alberto Ginastera and Manuel de Falla.

3 December at 7 p.m. – "Motets per al temps d’advent i Nadal" concert – Capilla de la Sapiencia, La Nau

Vocal ensemble Victoria Musicae will fill the chapel with Renaissance harmonies with motets dedicated to Advent and Christmas, performing works by Willaert, Palestrina, Tomás Luis de Victoria and other masters of the 16th and 17th centuries.

10 December at 7 p.m. – "Dansa de llums i d’ombres" concert – Capilla de la Sapiencia, La Nau

Violinist Luciano Casalino and pianist Francesc Llop will perform a concert full of nuances and contrasts with pieces by César Franck and Maurice Ravel.

19 December at 1 p.m. – Christmas Concert – Sala Charles Darwin, Burjassot Campus

The University of Valencia Philharmonic Orchestra bids farewell to the year with its traditional Christmas Concert, a programme that includes pieces by Tchaikovsky, F. von Suppé, P. Martínez and other great composers, bringing the season to a close.
