10th Edition of the Volumens Festival in Valencia
Categories: urban festival.
Explore the fusion of music, digital art and creativity across different corners of the city.
Valencia turns into a giant creativity lab!
From 15 to 19 October 2025, the city welcomes Volumens Festival, celebrating its 10th anniversary with more digital art, electronic music and technology than ever before.
Get ready to enjoy light sculptures, performances that blend science and sound like magic, interactive installations and a multitude of experiences that will make you feel like you have travelled to the future.
The programme takes over every corner of the city, with venues including El Musical Theater, Bombas Gens Center for Digital Arts, Carme Contemporary Culture Centre, La Nau, MuVIM and Sala 16 Toneladas.
Among the highlights of this edition is the reinterpretation of “KKAARREENNIINNAA” by Charlemagne Palestine, who joins Oren Ambarchi and Daniel O’Sullivan for a one-of-a-kind live show on Saturday, 18 October at a venue to be confirmed.
Centre del Carme
Here, the installations invite you to look, touch and be fully immersed.
“Pulsewidth” by Motus Art turns mathematical formulas into hypnotic visual flows, while “Mirror Me!” —by Ahmed Jamal & Simon Weckert—plays with you and your reflection in an interactive experience that makes you question your identity.
The venue also hosts the AVM Campus, showcasing cutting-edge projects from students in the UPV’s Master’s Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia, alongside works from the guest master’s programme Interface Cultures in Linz.
Not to mention the exhibition “Nuevas cartografías” by Behiye Erdemir, exploring the invisible landscape of the electromagnetic space, or “Entre nosotros” by Patrick Ortiz, a sensory journey through language and communication.
Bombas Gens
At Bombas Gens, you can join the talk “Gemelos Digitales Humanos: El Futuro de la Presencia Humana en el Mundo Digital”, featuring experts David Gómez-Barquero, Miguel Motos, Vanesa Zorrilla, Carmelo Lizarraga and Alfredo Ballester.
Also featured is Radiante Light Art Studio’s “Cartografía de un Rayo”, a light and sound sculpture where a laser, trapped between mirrors, creates infinite patterns.
La Nau, TEM and 16 Toneladas
On Friday, October 17, La Nau comes alive with Faixa, a project that blends electronica with Valencian tradition and nods to the ‘80s-’90s Ruta.
On Saturday, 18 October, it’s TEM’s turn to shine, with Noémi Büchi, a composer and multimedia artist who takes electronic music and experimentation to new heights.
And there’s more to come—more artists will be announced soon.
If you’re looking for something more avant-garde, head to 16 Toneladas, where Ghost Dubs takes you on a hypnotic journey through “dub techno” and “ambient”, while Yannick Franck (Mt Gemini) mixes ska, reggae and electroacoustic sounds.
MuVIM
Volumens 2025 wraps up MuVIM on 19 October with “Músicas Brutas”, an interactive workshop by Cuneta that turns sound experimentation into a game for everyone.
You’ll get to play with loop pedals, synthesizers, drum machines and even the legendary theremin.
More activities
And this is just a small taste of what Volumens 2025 has to offer.
For five days, Valencia becomes a theme park for the senses, full of music, light and immersive experiences that you won’t find anywhere else.
If you like to see, hear and feel art up close... you have to come!
