Ars Magna brings this exemplar of pathos poetry to the church of Santa Catalina
On March 31, 2023, you will have the opportunity to enjoy Stabat Mater, Pergolesi's musical composition, thanks to Ars Magna. The concert will take place in the church of Santa Catalina Martir, in the very center of Valencia.
A place of recollection and prayer, Santa Catalina is the perfect setting for this work befitting Friday of Sorrows, since Stabat Mater means "the weeping mother".
Giovanni Battista Pergolesi composed this poem for a confraternity in Naples, the Confraternità dei Cavalieri di San Luigi di Palazzo, and it became one of his most famous works. It was also adapted by many composers, including Bach.
Enjoy a spectacle of recollection and devotion. The experience of the multidisciplinary Ars Magna team is your quality guarantee for this sacred music concert that begins Holy Week.
