"Dance Fridays" in Valencia

Categories: music, show.

TOURISTIC AREA: City of Arts and Alameda

Every Friday, the Palau de les Arts turns into the perfect place to enjoy ballet, flamenco and contemporary dance.

Fridays will never be the same again!

The Palau de les Arts has come up with a great plan: "Dance Fridays" (Viernes de Danza).

That's right, seven dates between November 2025 and June 2026, each with a different show, so you can stop asking yourself "What shall we do today?" and instead say "Let's go to Les Arts".

The best thing is that you can find everything from flamenco and ballet to premieres that you'll only see in Valencia, and even a Carmina Burana.

From now on... your Fridays are dedicated to dance!

"Dance Fridays" Schedule

14 November 2025 - Antonio Najarro with "Querencia"

A spectacular journey through Spanish dance in all its forms, including bolero, stylised dance, flamenco, folklore... you name it!

Fourteen dancers will perform eleven choreographed pieces, accompanied by original music by Moisés Sánchez recorded by the Extremadura Orchestra.

Tickets for "Querencia"

12 December 2025 - Kor'sia with "Simulacrum"

Premiere performance by the innovative Kor'sia company, with choreography inspired by Jean Baudrillard and hyperreality.

The group lands at the Teatre Martín i Soler with a show that will leave you questioning the difference between reality and illusion.

30 January 2026 – Manuel Liñán Company with “¡Viva!”

If you think you've seen it all in flamenco, wait for "¡Viva!" by Manuel Liñán.

Dancers dressed in women's costumes break the gender boundaries in flamenco once and for all.

A tribute to individual freedom and to flamenco as an art without labels.

Tickets for "¡Viva!"

28 and 29 March 2026 - National Dance Company (CND) with "NumEros"

CND brings a triple bill of iconic choreographies: Balanchine's "Serenade", Forsythe's "Playlist" and "Echoes from a Restless Soul " -Jacopo Godani's absolute premiere with music by Ravel.

A rollercoaster of styles ranging from neoclassical ballet to the most innovative contemporary dance.

17 April 2026 - Taiat Dansa with "Las Hijas de Bernarda"

Meritxell Barberá and Inma García from Valencia reinvent Lorca's "La casa de Bernarda Alba" (The House of Bernarda Alba) through contemporary dance.

A show that mixes dance, theatre, cinema, live music and even installation art.

22 May 2026 - Antonio Ruz with "La noche de San Juan"

This ballet with music by Robert Gerhard was never performed because of the Civil War.

Antonio Ruz has revived and reinvented it with his own contemporary language.

The choreography mixes the freshness of Catalan folk dances with the strength of avant-garde ballet, creating a show that respects the original essence of 1936 but sounds and looks totally different.

25 to 28 June 2026 - Dortmund Ballet with "Carmina Burana"

And the final touch could not have been more beastly: "Carmina Burana" by choreographer Edward Clug.

The Dortmund Ballet, the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, the Cor de la Generalitat, the Escolania de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, three vocal soloists and a host of dancers, all together on the same stage.

An explosion of music and dance that closes the season in style.
