The former "head" of the Turia River

Cabecera Park (Parque de Cabecera) is the great green gateway that marks the beginning of the Turia Garden at its western end. This vast urban lung occupies the old riverbed at what was its "headwaters" (cabecera) as it entered the city.

Water takes center stage in an idyllic landscape that recreates the river's origins. Small islands and waterfalls form in the canal flowing from the Molí del Sol, and a central lake delights both children and adults.

The park offers nearly 170,000 m2 of meadows, riverside forests, Mediterranean pine groves, and exotic trees. It also features children's play areas, a bar-cafeteria, and an amphitheater for outdoor activities and performances. But undoubtedly, the big star is Bioparc, the popular animal park also located here.
