Davide Luciano, the renowned Italian baritone, was the artist chosen to star in "Don Giovanni", one of Mozart's most performed operas in the world.
With Damiano Michieletto as stage director and Riccardo Minasi conducting, "Don Giovanni" is coming to the main room of Les Arts to tell the audience the story of this unique character from the late 18th century.
Giovanni is an opportunist who seduces women and mocks those who would try to punish him. He realizes that he exerts a magical, irresistible power over the other characters, to the point that their lives seem to have no meaning without him.
In fact, during the opera, he gives the impression that everything he does has no consequence. However, he ends up crossing paths with an old enemy whom he cannot mock...
"Don Giovanni" is notable as a dual play, a "dramma giocoso" that preludes a great balance between undaunted seriousness and over-the-top buffoonery.
