Experience up close how nature regenerates in the City of Arts and Sciences lake.
Did you know that you can find a small natural paradise inside the Oceanogràfic?
This “Living Lake”, known as L’Albufereta, is an area undergoing a process of naturalisation, where fauna and flora are spontaneously reclaiming their home and restoring balance.
You can come and see it for yourself.
What can you expect from this experience?
You can spot iconic species such as the red-crested pochard, the common shelduck, the moorhen, the horned coot, the marbled teal and the white-headed duck.
You’ll also see European pond turtles, common frogs, and fish such as Valencia toothcarp and Spanish toothcarp, as well as various aquatic plants such as reeds, cattails, yellow irises, and water lilies.
Best of all, the visit also includes access to the Oceanogràfic’s outdoor lakes and the upper floor of the Submarine Restaurant, areas that are usually restricted to the public.
When is it?
Every Tuesday until 23 December 2025, with tickets for just €7.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with local biodiversity and learn how important these ecosystems are for the planet’s health.
