The 2021-2022 lyrical season at the Palau de les Arts de València opens with Mozart’s ‘Requiem’.
The play is a dramatized version of the Austrian composer's mass for the deceased, where death is seen as a rebirth to a life full of hope. The choir, soloists and dancers are accompanied by an extraordinary plastic beauty. The stage director is the ingeniously creative Romeo Castellucci. James Gaffigan, formerly of the Orchestre National de France, will conduct.
The cast features the outstanding voices of Elena Tsallagova, Sara Mingardo, Sebastian Kohlhepp y Nahuel Di Pierro.
