If you could only do one thing in Valencia, it should probably be this combination: a boat ride through the Albufera Natural Park and eating an authentic paella.
That's because this unique location is where our most universal dish was created.
The experience begins with about a 45-minute group ride aboard an albuferenc, the typical boat of l'Albufera, over much of the great to take in its renowned biodiversity.
Watch out, you might even see flamingos.
After the ride, during which the boatman usually explains the special features of l'Albufera, it's time to go to a restaurant in El Palmar and enjoy a full meal.
The menu includes four appetizers, your choice of paella from more than half a dozen variants, drinks and dessert. And all made with local ingredients, since the area doubles as a very complete and natural pantry.
