Christmas at the Palau de la Música

As expected, the Palau de la Música is chock full of concerts in the lead-up to Christmas and also during the holidays.

Chamber music series — El Almudín

To start and end the fifth edition of the chamber music series, on December 9 and 16, enjoy the most beautiful and demanding repertoire in history in this variety. With musicians from the Orquesta de València together with other regional and national chamber music groups.

Specifically, on December 9 it's the turn of Schubert's Octet in F major and, on the 16th, the Cambra al Palau, with soprano Julia Farrés-Llongueras, and Massimo Felicci on guitar.

Handel's Messiah — Iturbi Hall in the Palau de la Música

On Sunday, December 17, Handel's Messiah will be performed at the Palau. Conducted by Harry Bicket, accompanied by The English Concert Choir & Orchestra and four voices - soprano, tenor, contralto and baritone - will give musical form to this oratorio in English.

Municipal Symphonic Band of València — Christmas Concert

A two-part concert featuring festive pieces such as Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" from The Nutcracker, César Frank's "Panis Angelicus," and a selection of traditional carols, among other works. Josep Lluís Valldecabres will be directing the choir, and Miquel Rodrigo Tamarit will be the conductor of the band.

On December 23, immerse yourself in a Christmas Jazz concert at the Palau featuring outstanding artists.

Isabelle Faust & Orquesta de València — Iturbi Hall in the Palau de la Música

The Iturbi Hall in the Palau de la Música welcomes Isabelle Faust on violin, the Valencia Orchestra and conductor Alexander Liebreich on Friday, 22 December. They will present a series of works, including the renowned Nutcracker.

Solidarity Palau

On December 28 at 7:30 pm in the Iturbi Hall, a concert benefiting the New Option Association ― an association for acquired brain damage in València ― will take place. More than 180 singers will perform a diverse program of music with a Christmas theme.
