This guided tour includes:
- A 2-hour tour of the most important places for the silk industry in Valencia.

Discover the historical legacy left in València by the most important industry between the 14th and 18th centuries: the Silk trade.
First stop: Lonja de la Seda
The Tourism Office in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento square is the place where you will meet your guide. From here, a pleasant walk will take us to the first stop: the Lonja de la Seda building. In a medieval Gothic style, the fact that that this building has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site is important in itself.
We'll stop to admire the architectural and decorative features of the exterior while we learn about what life was like in the Valencian Golden Age.
Then we will head inside, where we will visit all the rooms open to the public: the Patio de los Naranjos (Orange Garden Courtyard), the Sala de Contratación (The Contract Hall), the Chapel and the Pabellón del Consulado del Mar (Pavilion of the Consulate).
Historical and architectural details and the odd anecdote about what happened here (and continues to happen) will give you a good example of the importance of this place internationally.
Second stop: Museum and College of High Silk Art
The visit continues with the oldest and largest archive in Europe related to the silk industry: the Museum and College of High Silk Art.
Here we'll enjoy a historical triad: we'll discover the key moments in the development of the industry in Valencia; we'll learn about the building's noble rooms —the Hall of Fame, the Historical Archive and the Chapel— and we'll find out how the silk looms of the 18th and 19th centuries worked.
The tour ends at the museum's Silk Shop, where you can buy souvenirs and authentic silk garments.
