Les Arts is Flamenco: a program with the country’s best

Categories: music, show.

TOURISTIC AREA: City of Arts and Alameda

"Les Arts is Flamenco", the flamenco series that brings together the best of Spain's most pedigreed genre, is back at the Palau de les Arts.

The program is meticulously designed, as we've come to expect from the Palau de les Arts. This time around, the Palau has brought together artists like Kiki Morente, the singing duo of Vicente Soto "Sordera" and his daughter, Lela Soto, María Toledo and maestro José de la Tomasa.

Let's get into the details so you can make your plans.

On February 16 at 7:30 pm, Kiki Morente will make it obvious that he is a worthy successor of the Morente family's art, as are his sisters Estrella and Soleá. Since he was a child, he accompanied his father, Enrique Morente, who has sadly passed, on stage, and in 2017 he went solo. Imagine this man's dancing talent.
You can buy tickets to see Kiki Morente here.

On March 23 at 7:00 pm, it's the turn of Vicente Soto "Sordera" and Lela Soto. The singer from the Jerez neighborhood of Barrio de Santiago and his daughter belong to a lineage of flamenco artists, as they make evident on stage. His peculiar voice may sound familiar thanks to his collabs on tours and songs by Alejandro Sanz and Niña Pastori.
You can buy tickets to listen to Vicente Soto “Sordera” and Lela Soto right here.

On April 20 at 7:00 pm, you have a chance to see and hear María Toledo live. She has become an icon of contemporary flamenco both in Spain and internationally. Her voice is very special, but what really sets her apart is that she is the first woman in the world of flamenco who sings while accompanying herself on the piano.

And on May 31 at 7:30 pm, the veteran José de la Tomasa closes out the series. There aren't many masters of song like him left. Protector and full-fledged practitioner of cante jondo, to see José de la Tomasa is to see a classic, a great man who excites with his feeling and the purity of his style.
You can buy tickets to enjoy the illustrious José de la Tomasa here.

Four different proposals, but all sharing the most Spanish art that exists: flamenco.

Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy this genre in Valencia through today's most prestigious artists.
