A short trip back in time

The tour starts in the Plaza de los Fueros, under the presence of the Serrano Towers, where you will be welcomed by your guide during the visit. From his hand interpreting the culture in the heart of València is much easier.

Part 2: Europe's oldest court of justice is Valencian

After strolling through the streets of the old part of the city, you end up in the Plaza de la Virgen, where you will discover the history of the Tribunal de las Aguas de València. 

An institution that has been meeting in the shelter of the Apostles' Gate for a millennium and has kept the same rite: every Thursday at midday, eight farmers dressed in typical Valencian blouses sit in a circle on large wooden chairs and make decisions related to the use and management of water. 

It may seem like an anachronistic folly, but it is considered a model institution for the efficiency of its work to the point that it holds the title of Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
