Wine, Valencian cava and craft beer: mouthfuls of pleasure
Lovers of fine wine, sparkling wine and craft beer, you're in luck! Valencian products will surprise you with their quality and taste. Our province is home to wines from two great designations of origin, València and Utiel-Requena. The latter is noted for its typical grape, the Bobal, the undisputed star of its vines, as well as offering some of the finest cavas in the country.
And what can we say about the local beers? Craftsmanship in liquid form. Fancy sampling them? Always in moderation, of course. Let’s go!
Wines and cavas with a Valencian flavour
In Valencia, you will find surprising single varietals and magical blends, young wines and aged reds. We’ve got it all. The province is also home to several estate wines (known as D.O. de Pago in Spanish), where adjoining vineyards supply winemakers with carefully tended grapes, which reach their quintessence in the bottle.
You can sample almost all of them at restaurants in the city. Another alternative to satisfy your palate and make your purchases is to visit one of these wine bars, all within the city of Valencia, and purchase them after enjoying a pleasant tasting: Original CV, El Corte Inglés or Mantequerías Vicente Ferrero.

Craft beers. Aromas and flavours for every taste
Signature beers, a trend that is here to stay, are now a permanent feature in Valencia. And the Russafa neighbourhood is the true trend-setter. Olhöps Craft Beer House and Olhöps – Craft Beer Lab are two Olhöps Group beer houses that offer ten choices on draught and more than one hundred options in bottles and cans. They have created their own brand, H2ÖL Brewing Co, and a range of ice creams made from craft beer, Höp Cream.
Other alternatives in the centre include Tyris On Tap, located near the Lonja (Silk Exchange), which delights visitors with its products, produced in the outskirts of the city by the brand Tyris. Then there is Las Cervezas del Mercado, in the Central Market or Colón Market, both of which offer a wide variety of imported options and an extensive range of craft beers. Perfect for shopping, drinking and laughing.
Cheers!
