The most authentic urban beach

Immortalized by Joaquín Sorolla in his paintings, El Cabanyal Beach is probably the most visited by tourists. This is due to its easy access and its location next to the Marina de Valencia, as well as the abundance of restaurants and hotels.

Its name refers to the old fishing quarter that borders it, famous for its houses with tiled facades and its traditions. It is also known as Las Arenas Beach, taking its name from an old spa located here, now converted into a luxurious spa resort hotel.

The beach offers all the services you might need, from umbrella and sunbed rentals to access for people with disabilities.

Why visit El Cabanyal Beach

  • For its proximity and easy access by public transport from the center of Valencia
  • For its wide range of leisure and dining options
  • To practice different water sports
  • For its great width of almost 200 meters

What to do at El Cabanyal Beach

In addition to enjoying the sun and the sea breeze, or taking a dip in the Mediterranean, there is so much more to do:

  • Strolls by the sea

The fine sand of the beach invites you to take long walks along the shore. Wandering along the promenade in the shade of the palm trees is particularly popular on weekends.

  • Dining with Mediterranean views

Paellas, tapas, fish and seafood dishes, refreshing horchatas, and ice creams... the offer is varied and abundant. Along Paseo Neptuno, you have plenty of bars, restaurants, and ice cream parlors to choose from, all with terraces overlooking the sea.

  • Summer drinks

The terraces of the bars on the promenade also remain lively at night, especially during the warmer months. It is an ideal setting to meet friends for a few drinks.

  • Practice sports

In addition to sports areas on the sand, the beach also has a nautical channel where you can practice activities such as paddle surfing or kayaking.

  • Experience seafaring traditions

The Cabanyal neighborhood preserves many seafaring traditions, including moving processions on the beach. If you have the chance, don't miss the celebration of Semana Santa Marinera (Seafaring Holy Week), declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
