Pago de Tharsys

Pago de Tharsys is a winery located in Requena, 70 km from Valencia and at an altitude of 800 metres, surrounded by 14 hectares of organic vineyards. Founded in 1808, it retains an underground cellar carved out of the limestone bedrock on which its vineyards stand, the source of the uniqueness of its wines and cavas. The winery maintains a firm commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment. It operates according to the principles of organic viticulture, uses solar energy, promotes recycling, protects native flora and fauna, and actively collaborates with local producers and artisans. The limestone soil, formed over 20 million years ago, lends freshness, elegance and ageing potential to its wines. Furthermore, the microclimate created by the lake and the trees surrounding the estate promotes balanced ripening of the grapes, naturally preserving their acidity and freshness whilst minimising the need for treatments in the vineyard.
