From 23 January to 2 February 2025, the Palau de les Arts will host Robert Carsen's masterful version of "Dialogues des Carmélites", which has been acclaimed as one of the finest interpretations of this masterpiece by Francis Poulenc.
It is based on the tragic story of the Carmelite Sisters of Compiègne, who lost their lives to the guillotine during the French Revolution.
This opera gives you a first-hand experience of the sacrifice and unwavering faith of women who believed in their ability to redeem their country and their religion through martyrdom.
The piece features a remarkable cast that includes veteran Doris Soffel as Madame de Croissy, alongside Ambur Braid, Michèle Losier and up-and-coming soprano Carolina López Moreno.
Get your ticket and come to Les Arts to enjoy an opera that, without the need for large sets, manages to convey all the drama and anguish of the story of the Carmelites.
