Valencia: paradise of culinary tourism

Eating healthy, delicious and sustainable food is a challenge that Valencia has met, which is why it's home to the FAO's World Sustainable Urban Food Centre. How we do it? With fresh products from local farms that surround the city, fish caught off our coast, environmental awareness and a lot of creativity, an entire philosophy that extends to responsible mobility.

Valencia's secret lies in the mix of Mediterranean cuisine made with local products and a lot of sustainable mobility. Come on now, Valencia is delicious!  And it boasts a personality of its own.

Eating healthy is a traditional concept that is rooted in historic and authentic Valencian habits and traditions. However, in recent years it has shifted toward cooking with seasonal, organically harvested ingredients. Innovation in the kitchen is also a constant that has led us to become a leading international benchmark in cuisine. Have you heard of esmorzaret, the Valencian brunch? What about horchata?
