From the Cantabrian Sea to your table.Orio’s cuisine is notable for its pintxos (Basque tapas) and a varied menu offering dishes inspired by the creations of the fishing villages of the Basque Country. The restaurant is distributed over three floors: the ground floor, which houses the pintxos bar, is decorated with a 12-metre fishing boat hung from a handcrafted 19th-century ceiling; on the first floor diners can enjoy dishes from the menu; while the basement is home to Sala Orio, which contains the documented remnants of a wall from the Islamic period. Orio is located in the historic city centre, on a busy thoroughfare between the Cathedral, City Hall and Central Market.
