All the information on the Fallas in nine languages through WhatsApp

The big week of the Fallas de Valencia is coming up soon, and with it, the upgraded personal assistant for the Fallas festivities, FallasBot, is back. The purpose of this sociocultural project is to bring the fallas culture closer to the public and to the more than one million tourists who visit Valencia during the Fallas, a festival declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

FallasBot is a virtual assistant specifically for the Fallas de Valencia that offers detailed information in nine languages on the numerous events and celebrations that take place on these dates, such as paella competitions, parades, fireworks, the plantà, the cremà and many others. The app, created by volunteers from the Conversational Business Chair at the University of Valencia, WOZTELL, a Valencia technology company, and Visit Valencia, lets visitors and fans of this vibrant festival access a wide variety of information directly from their mobile devices.

The “Fallas más Bot-ada” award is born

The FallasBot team has prepared some surprises for the 2023 edition, most notably the announcement of the 2023 "Fallas más Bot-ada". This award aims to bring visitors even closer to the incredible creations of the fallas through a voluntary vote that will recognize the effort, ingenuity and creativity of the fallas artists.

FallasBot users can cast their bot-es, called “VEF”, for their favorite fallas as often as they want between March 16 and 19. The goal is to reward the three fallas with the most bot-es, which will receive a commemorative banner from Visit Valencia, and the winning commissions will receive one of the guided tours to Bioparc, “Valencia city of silk” and “Sorolla's Valencia”.
