EuroHockey 2026 in Valencia
Categories: sport.
TOURISTIC AREA: Sea towns, Marina and beaches
Sixteen European teams are competing in Valencia for the continental under-21 hockey title.
From 26 July to 1 August 2026, Valencia will become the epicentre of European hockey with the EuroHockey U21 Championships, both for men and women.
This twin event brings together 16 national teams and will be held at the Virgen del Carmen-Beteró municipal sports complex.
The European Federation has confirmed Valencia as the host city, but this is no coincidence.
This will be the sixth time that the city has hosted EuroHockey, confirming its status as one of the top European venues for this sport.
Austria, Belgium, England, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland will compete in the men’s tournament, while Belgium, England, Spain, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Scotland and Wales will compete in the women’s tournament.
Expect great hockey, highly competitive matches and plenty of talent in action.
What’s on the line?
The Spanish men’s Under-21 team will defend the title they won in Terrassa after beating the Netherlands, while the women’s team will be looking to repeat their epic performance in Beteró in 2019, when they were crowned European champions after a heart-stopping final decided in a shootout.
If you like hockey and watching championships where the next generation of Spanish sport is being shaped, this is a must-see event.
