Come and taste the best rice dishes with the D.O. Arròs de València right in the heart of the city.
Something big is cooking in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento on 18 and 19 October!
It’s TastArròs 2025. An incredible event where you can fully immerse yourself in Valencia’s rich rice-growing culture.
Throughout the weekend, 27 restaurants will serve both classic rice dishes like Valencian paella and more innovative creations — all for just €5 per portion.
The event is also packed with fun competitions, including the race to find the “fastest farmer” and a live showdown between young chefs competing for the title of “Rice Master of the Future.”
All the recipes will feature the star ingredient: rice with the D.O. Arròs de València — Senia, Albufera, and Bomba varieties.
And that’s not all!
There will be showcookings, family workshops, live music, an exhibition of boats and fishing gear from the Port of Catarroja, an interactive rice mill, and the traditional urban drying field (sequer urbà), where 10,000 kilos of rice will be spread out following traditional methods.
