Festival of San Vicente Ferrer

If you are in València between April 6 and 8, don't miss the events celebrating the Feast of San Vicente Ferrer, patron saint of València, it is one of the most picturesque traditions of the city!

These days the festival is celebrated in tribute to the Valencian canonized by Calixto III, with the theatrical performances of “Los Milagros” on 14 altars raised in the streets of the city. These are stages decorated with images of the miracles attributed to the saint, in which children under 13 years of age represent, in verse and the Valencian language, small theatrical pieces about the life and miracles of Saint Vincent.

Program of events

This is the program of events for the 2024 San Vicente Ferrer Festival:

Saturday April 6:
11:00: Representation of the miracle that received the first prize in the Plaza de la Virgen.

Sunday April 7
7:30 p.m.: Manual ringing of bells in the Valencia Cathedral. If you want to see it live, you can reserve your place here.

9:00 p.m.: Old-fashioned fireworks display in Plaza de la Reina.

Monday April 8
Throughout the day there will be manual ringing of bells from the Cathedral (9:15, 12:00, 18:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00). If you want to see it live, you can reserve your place here.

10:30: Solemn pontifical mass in the Cathedral.

12:00: Civic procession of offering flowers to San Vicente Ferrer, which departs from the Town Hall to the Birthplace.

2:30 p.m.: Mascletà in charge of the Vulcano pyrotechnics in the Plaza de Tetuán.

In the afternoon, according to the program of each association, representation of the miracles.

7:00 p.m.: General procession from the Cathedral.
