The countdown has begun to experience October in style in Patraix!
On October 4, 2025, the Patraix neighborhood will come alive with the “8th Meeting of the Federació Valenciana de Cabuts i Gegants.”
This beloved local festival welcomes giant cardboard and wooden figures — the gegants, several meters tall, and the cabuts, with their oversized, expressive heads — ready to delight the crowd as they dance and parade to the rhythm of traditional music.
The event, part of the Patraix Festivities, will bring together more than 200 participants from across the Valencian Community.
These figures, part of the region’s heritage since the Middle Ages, represent kings, peasants, saints, historical figures, and even popular caricatures, always accompanied by the sounds of the dolçaina and the tabalet.
If you’ve never seen dozens of gegants and cabuts dancing together, this is your chance to experience it firsthand.
And to make sure you don’t miss anything, here’s the full schedule of activities.
