Experience a 9th of October full of events to celebrate King Jaume I's entry into València
October 9th is the biggest day for Valencians, the day the city commemorates King Jaume I's triumphant entry and celebrates the birth of the Valencian people.
For several days the city fills with gunpowder, markets, live music and parades that flood the streets with colour.

Friday, October 2
At 8:00 pm – Moors and Christians Festive Entry (Entraeta Festera)
It starts from Plaza de la Virgen and goes along Caballeros, Bolsería, del Trenc, Barretería, del Mar and Avellanas streets and Palau, before returning to Plaza de la Virgen.
Saturday, October 3
At 5:00 pm – Children's Moors and Christians Parade
Route from Plaza del Tossal to Plaza dels Furs, next to the Serranos Towers.
At 8:00 pm – Embassies of the Conquest – Plaza dels Furs
Sunday, October 4
At 11:30 am – Floral offering and musketry display and parade – València Cathedral
Route through Plaza de la Reina, San Vicente street and Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
Thursday, October 8
From 10:00 am to 9:00 pm – "La Nostra Senyera" Exhibition – Crystal Hall of the City Hall
For the first time, the Reial Senyera and King Jaume I's sword will be displayed together, coinciding with the 750th anniversary of the king's death.
At 7:00 pm, 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm – "Cant a la Senyera" performed by the Valentina Polyphonic Choir – Crystal Hall of the City Hall
At 7:30 pm – "Display of Valencian Dances, Music and Songs" – Plaza del Ayuntamiento
Taking part in the display are Grup de Dansa de l'Alcúdia, Grup de Danses d'El Piló and Grup de Danses Arcud de la Vall d'Uixó, accompanied by Colla Va de Bó de Quart de Poblet.
At 9:00 pm – Popular Dansà – Plaza del Ayuntamiento – Prior registration through FFCV required
At 11:30 pm – Fireworks show – Monteolivete Bridge
Friday, October 9
At 12:00 pm – Civic procession and floral offering to Jaume I – Plaza del Ayuntamiento
It starts from Plaza del Ayuntamiento with the traditional lowering of the Senyera from the town hall balcony.
The Reial Senyera and King Jaume I's sword will also process to the Cathedral, where a Te Deum is celebrated.
Afterwards, the procession continues to Plaza de Alfonso el Magnánimo for the offering of floral wreaths at the statue of Jaume I, before returning to Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
At 2:00 pm – Mascletà – Plaza del Ayuntamiento
At 3:45 pm – Bajada de Gloria
It follows the reverse route of the Moors and Christians entry, starting from Plaza del Ayuntamiento and passing through Barcas, Poeta Querol and la Paz streets, up to la Glorieta.
At 5:00 pm – XXI Moors and Christians Entry Parade – Glorieta Gardens
The parade goes from the Glorieta Gardens to Xàtiva street, passing along la Paz, Poeta Querol and Barcas streets, Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Avenida Marqués de Sotelo.
