Experience a full day of festivities to celebrate King Jaume I's entry into Valencia.

October 9th is the main day for Valencians, the day when the city commemorates King Jaume I's triumphant entry and celebrates the birth of the Valencian people.

For several days, the city fills with fireworks, markets, live music, and parades that color the streets.

Saturday, October 4

  • Medieval Market in the Turia Gardens, between the Flower Bridge and the Exhibition Bridge.

  • From 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 - Gastroneta on Cavallers Street with Valencian products.

  • 17:00 – Children’s Moors and Christians Parade: Route: Tossal Square → Caballeros Street → Serranos → Furs Square.

  • 20:00 – Embassy of the Conquest: Furs Square, next to the Serranos Towers.

  • Free visits to the Palau de la Generalitat: from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.

  • Theatrical visits “Discover Jaume I”: Departures in the morning and afternoon from the Serranos Towers. Includes historical tour, reenactment of the conquest of Valencia, and visit to the October 9th exhibition in the Queens Hall of the Diputación.

  • Themed Photocall: in the courtyard of the Palacio de la Scala of the Diputación de Valencia. Free access.

Sunday, October 5

  • Medieval Market in the Turia Gardens, between the Flower Bridge and the Exhibition Bridge.

  • From 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 - Gastroneta on Cavallers Street with Valencian products.

  • 11:30 – Commemoration of the Centenary of the Valencian Community Anthem.

  • 11:40 – Musketry display and parade. Route: Queen Square → San Vicente Street → Town Hall Square (central esplanade).

  • Free visits to the Palau de la Generalitat: from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.

  • Theatrical visits “Discover Jaume I”: Departures in the morning and afternoon from the Serranos Towers. Includes historical tour, reenactment of the conquest of Valencia, and visit to the October 9th exhibition in the Queens Hall of the Diputación.

  • 20:00 – 00:00 – 360º illumination at the Palau de la Generalitat: When night falls, the façade of the Palau becomes a giant screen with immersive projections that bring the official festival poster to life.

  • Free visits to the Palau de la Generalitat: from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.

  • Themed Photocall: in the courtyard of the Palacio de la Scala of the Diputación de Valencia. Free access.

Tuesday, October 7

  • Medieval Market in the Turia Gardens, between the Flower Bridge and the Exhibition Bridge.

  • 20:00 – 00:00 – 360º illumination at the Palau de la Generalitat: When night falls, the façade of the Palau becomes a giant screen with immersive projections that bring the official festival poster to life.

  • 19:00 – Free concert by the Valencia Municipal Symphony Band on the occasion of Valencian Community Day. Palau de les Arts.

  • Free visits to the Palau de la Generalitat: from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.

  • Themed Photocall: in the courtyard of the Palacio de la Scala of the Diputación de Valencia. Free access.

Wednesday, October 8


The fireworks display is moved forward to 10:00 PM and the drone show is cancelled.

  • Medieval Market in the Turia Gardens, between the Flower Bridge and the Exhibition Bridge.

  • 10:00 – 14:00 / 15:30 – 21:00 La Nostra Senyera. Exhibition of the Reial Senyera in the Crystal Hall of Valencia Town Hall (last access at 20:30).

  • 19:00, 19:30, 20:00 – Performance of Cant a la Senyera by the Valentina Polyphonic Choir in the Crystal Hall of Valencia Town Hall.

  • 19:30 – Valencian dances, music, and songs in Town Hall Square, in collaboration with the Valencian Folklore Federation.

  • 21:00 – Popular Dansà in Town Hall Square.

  • 20:00 – 00:00 – 360º illumination at the Palau de la Generalitat: When night falls, the façade of the Palau becomes a giant screen with immersive projections that bring the official festival poster to life.

  • Themed Photocall: in the courtyard of the Palacio de la Scala of the Diputación de Valencia. Free access.

  • 21:00 – Projection: The Torre Vella of the Palau de la Generalitat hosts a mapped audiovisual storytelling show, blending digital art and tradition (30 minutes).

  • 22:00 – Fireworks display: The eve of the main day lights up with a fireworks show over Avenida de Francia and Plaza de Europa.

Thursday, October 9


The civic procession and the mascletà have been cancelled.

  • 12:00 – Band concert at the City of Arts and Sciences.

  • 19:00 – Valencia Orchestra concert for Valencian Community Day. Palau de les Arts.

  • Medieval Market in the Turia Gardens, between the Flower Bridge and the Exhibition Bridge.

    Only for People with Reduced Mobility and One Companion

    • It is recommended to bring a parasol or hat.

    • Companions should stand at the back to avoid obstructing the view of people with reduced mobility.

    • Capacity is limited, so please arrive with enough time in advance.

    • Please follow the instructions of the volunteers authorized by the General Directorate for People with Disabilities of the Valencia City Council.
