The mascletà from a balcony: quite the experience

What is the year's most anticipated event in Valencia?

The Fallas, and with them, the mascletà: the event that kicks off this festival of international tourist interest.

In case you didn't know, the mascletàs are held every day from March 1 to 19 at 2:00 pm in Valencia's Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and they are the event of choice for Valencians and visitors.

Why do people like them so much?

Because they're an unforgettable experience. Every day at 2:00 p.m., thousands of people gather in Plaza del Ayuntamiento, as if it were a ritual, to witness the start of a thunderous set of pyrotechnics that lasts between 5 and 7 minutes.

And what minutes!

A show that combines sound, the smell of gunpowder, color and the contagious thrill of the place, ramping up to an epic ending.

It's not to be missed.

You can enjoy the fireworks from the square itself, of course. But without a doubt the best place to enjoy the mascletàs is from a balcony, where you can have a front-row seat while avoiding the crowds.

And best of all, they are available to everyone.

Attic Paseo Ruzafa

There are places like the viewing area of the Cines Lys building.

A 450m² terrace where, in addition to having one of the best views of the mascletàs, you can enjoy live music with a DJ, a Chill-Out area and a typical Valencian menu.  

For starters, savory snacks, sausage skewers, a selection of cheeses and Iberian pork and vegetable ratatouille cakes. And to round out the menu, arroz del senyoret and duck and artichoke paella.
