The Crida of Las Fallas 2026

If there is a Fallas event that is experienced with true intensity, it is the Crida: the moment when the year’s Fallas festivities are officially inaugurated.

From the Torres de Serranos, wearing their finest traditional dresses and accompanied by the city authorities, the falleras mayores of Valencia open the Fallas with the famous call: «Valencians i valencianes, fallers i falleres, gent de tot el món, ja estem en Falles!» — “Valencians, men and women, falleros and falleras, people from all over the world, we are now in Fallas!”

After this moment of excitement before thousands of people, the Hymn of Valencia is played, sung by the crowd and accompanied by a pyrotechnic display of light and color.

As you can imagine, if you want to get a good spot to enjoy the event and the fireworks, you should arrive early.

This year we will present the show "fók" at Fez de Co Corchete, a 100% Valencian choral experience that fuses contemporary dance with the voice of Lorena Calero, centred around fire and the phoenix as its core themes. The production features original music paying tribute to the Fallas crafts and to the identity of the Valencian people.

But on the day of the Crida, there are many more celebrations as well.
