World Health Day was first celebrated in 1950.
Since then, every April 7, public and private entities, foundations and various agencies engage in activities to raise awareness of the different global diseases and to motivate people to incorporate healthy habits into their routine.
From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, in front of the Tourist Information Office, there will be a tasting of orange juice, a symbol of a healthy lifestyle.
During the day, two important entities from the health sector, both members of the Valencia Health program, will be present. In the morning, Quirónsalud will participate in the initiative, highlighting its commitment to quality healthcare, patient-centered and based on prevention. "World Health Day is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of taking care of our physical and mental well-being. This day reminds us that health is a fundamental right and a shared responsibility," they emphasize from the hospital group.
In the afternoon, Clínica Ascires will focus on cardiovascular health through its Cardiology Unit, which combines the latest medical imaging technology with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and biomedical engineers. In this context, Ascires will disseminate information and advice for heart care and, in addition, will raffle a cardio-sports check-up at Clínica Ascires Campanar (Valencia). As part of its commitment to heart health, it will also offer dark chocolate (85% cocoa), whose consumption has been shown to reduce cardiovascular risk according to various scientific studies.
Currently, Ascires is in the process of constructing its first hospital in Valencia, scheduled to begin operations in 2025, thus reinforcing its commitment to medical innovation and excellence in patient care.
This commemorative day will be a unique opportunity to remember that health is not only a right, but also a shared responsibility, where prevention plays a fundamental role in improving the well-being of society
