Celebrate World Health Day in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento

World Health Day was first celebrated in 1950.

Since then, every April 7, public and private entities, foundations and various agencies engage in activities to raise awareness of the different global diseases and to motivate people to incorporate healthy habits into their routine.

This year, the motto chosen as the main theme is "Our planet, our health".

The goal is to draw the public's attention to the urgent measures needed to stay healthy and to encourage change so people can improve their well-being.

Valencia is observing World Health Day with an event that will take place in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

The Tourist Office, in concert with the Vithas and Quirón clinics, will be offering free blood pressure checks for anyone who is interested, along with a free glass of local orange juice to recharge their battery.

This event, aimed at influencing the well-being of visitors and residents, is just one of the initiatives that the city is organizing as a European Capital of Smart Tourism.
