Escalante Centre Theater

The theatre began operating in 1985 and, since then, it has focused on its productions and co-productions, festivals, seasons and tours.

It puts on performances OPEN TO THE PUBLIC every Sunday at 18:00 and for GROUPS in the morning on school days, by prior arrangement.

PRODUCTIONS:
Productions are the backbone of the theatre’s programme. Thus far it has produced 40 shows, the majority of which were performed by companies and professionals from Valencia.

These are large-scale performances that are put on over a three-month period following their premières. Later they are toured and are eventually put on again after a couple of seasons.

CO-PRODUCTIONS:
From time to time some companies propose projects to us that require public support due to their appeal or complexity. The Escalante co-produces these projects with them in exchange for performing them in our theatre.

TOURS:
Our shows are toured throughout Spain, as part of festivals and programmes at different theatres and festivals.

FESTIVALS AND SEASONS:
A series of festivals and seasons complement and enrich the performances that we put on, enabling people to see a wider range of theatre both from Spain and abroad.
The events that we traditionally put on include the Nadal a l’Escalante festival, themed seasons and Menut Teatre seasons for babies.
