Museo Taurino (Bullfighting Museum)

The Valencia Bullfighting Museum, inaugurated on 25 July 1929, is one of the city's most unique cultural spaces and an essential visit for those wishing to discover Valencia's bullfighting tradition. Located next to the emblematic Valencia Bullring, this museum preserves and promotes a valuable historical heritage linked to the world of bullfighting.
Most of its collection comes from the extraordinary legacy of Mr Luis Moroder Peiró, a great bullfighting enthusiast who, after his death, donated an extensive collection of bullfighting objects, documents and books to the Provincial Council of Valencia. This collection was later enriched by the important collection of the picador José Bayard, known as “Badila”, thus forming the basis of the museum's first permanent exhibitions.
Visitors can enjoy a journey through the history of bullfighting, with special attention to the most important figures among Valencian bullfighters.
The museum is designed both for enthusiasts and the general public, offering a cultural experience that places bullfighting within the context of the city's history and identity.
In addition, visitors can access the Valencia Bullring directly from the Valencia Bullfighting Museum and explore its different interior areas, provided they are not being used for an event.
