Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Center: a natural gem in l’Albufera

Who is the Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Center for?
For anyone who loves nature and wants to get to know l’Albufera better.
As you might imagine, it is ideal for school students or research groups. If that’s you, guided tours are available and always require a prior reservation.
What you will find at the Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Center
The center consists of several areas:
- A visitor reception center hosting an exhibition on the Racó de l'Olla Reserve and l'Albufera Natural Park, perfect for getting your bearings.
- An observation tower to enjoy a panoramic view of l'Albufera.
- Bird blinds (observatories) where you can peacefully watch the great variety of birds that live there, mainly waterfowl. And yes, this includes the star species: the colorful flamingos.
- An interpretive trail of about 400 meters where you can discover botanical species adapted to the Devesa-Albufera ecosystems.
Access is restricted in the integral reserve zone, as this area is dedicated exclusively to the nesting and refuge of waterfowl—and that is the top priority.
In short: at the Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Center, everything is set up so you can appreciate the value of this very special habitat in a sustainable way; for this reason, pets are not allowed anywhere in the Nature Reserve, including the Interpretation Center.
When is the best time to visit the Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Center?
While it is highly recommended year-round, the most interesting months are May, June, July, November, December, and January.
Regardless of when you go, be sure to bring binoculars or a spotting scope so you don’t miss a thing.
How to get to the Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Center
You can arrive in your own vehicle and park easily, as there is on-site parking.
If you prefer public transport, EMT bus lines 24 and 25 drop you off almost at the door. You will only need to walk a few meters along the shoulder to enter.
