A spectacular event venue

Even if you are not visiting València for business, you cannot help but admire the Palacio de Congresos (Conference Centre). This impressive building at the city's northwest entrance was designed by British architect Norman Foster and has won numerous awards. It is a major business event hub renowned for its sustainability. And it does not only host conferences, but also concerts and family shows.

Inaugurated in 1998, it is now the heart of a modern district of skyscrapers that house hotels and restaurants, as well as offices.

Why visit the Palacio de Congresos

  • Norman Foster's avant-garde design won the Best European Building award from the Royal Institute of British Architects
  • It was voted World's Best Convention Centre in 2018 and 2010
  • It is surrounded by a wide range of hotel options
  • Nearby, you can see Manolo Valdés' iconic Dama Ibérica sculpture and the Nou Mestalla stadium
  • Beyond corporate events or conferences, it features an interesting programme of concerts and shows.

What to see at the Palacio de Congresos

  • Exterior

A huge rising roof, shaped like the prow of a ship, seems to float over its facade. It is surrounded by gardens and ponds that reflect its colossal architecture.

  • Foyer

The most visible interior space is its grand glass-enclosed foyer, protected from excessive sunlight by a row of translucent brise-soleil panels. Exhibitions are frequently held here.

  • Auditoriums and meeting rooms

If you have the chance to attend a concert or event here, you will be able to enjoy its modern auditoriums and rooms, equipped with cutting-edge technology.
