Bar La Picaeta Algirós

At Algirós, we wanted to do something very simple: open that bar you fancy popping into. The sort of place where you meet up with friends, order some tapas and end up saying, ‘Shall we get another round?’. The sort of place where you can eat during the week, throw together a dinner or linger over your meal because nobody’s in too much of a hurry to leave. That’s how La Picaeta Algirós came about. A neighbourhood bar, just like the ones of old, but keen to put a new spin on things. Here, you come to feel at home, but to eat as if you’d gone out to treat yourself. On the menu you’ll find everything you’d expect from a proper Picaeta: appetisers to whet your appetite, classic tapas to share, sandwiches that’ll take your breath away, even a prawn fideuá or a steak that appears on the table and disappears far too quickly. The idea is simple: good food, a great atmosphere and a table full of people you’d love to have around. Because a good bar isn’t just about what’s on your plate. It’s the round of drinks that drags on, the after-dinner chat that nobody wants to end, and the ‘see you later’ that ends up meaning another visit to Picaeta. And we want this to be your bar.
