Learn how to enjoy Valencia’s Fallas festival responsibly with this practical visitor guide

Use of public space and urban furniture

“Fallas are lived in the streets—take care of them as if they were your home.”

Public space belongs to everyone. Respect the surroundings and urban furniture. Avoid causing damage by using it improperly.

Noise management

“Enjoy the celebration with intensity, but also with respect.”

Fireworks, music and celebration are part of Fallas. Please respect rest hours and the wellbeing of those who live in the city, as well as our pets.

Urban cleanliness and waste management

“Take care of the city: the best celebration ends with clean streets.”

Use litter bins, separate waste and reduce single-use plastics during the celebrations.

Protection and preservation of Fallas heritage

“Respect the heritage that gives meaning to Fallas.”

Respect the Fallas monuments, traditions and the cultural and natural spaces that form part of this celebration.

Respectful sharing

“Share on social media, but always responsibly.”

The way you share also protects the festival, the people and the values that make it special.

Sustainable mobility

“During Fallas, move without leaving a trace.”

Travel on foot, use public transport or a bicycle, and always respect traffic regulations.

Participation and shared responsibility

“During Fallas you are not just a visitor: you are part of the celebration.”

Your attitude matters. Respect the rules, take care of the city and actively help make coexistence safe for everyone.

Safety and action in case of emergency

“In case of emergency, don’t hesitate: call for help.”

If you detect a risky situation or need assistance, inform security staff or call 112.

“Experience Fallas with excitement, but from a safe area.”

Follow the instructions of authorized personnel and stay behind the fences and marked areas during pyrotechnic and large-scale events.

Responsible use of pyrotechnics

“Gunpowder is tradition; safety is responsibility.”

Use pyrotechnics only in designated areas and avoid gardened or sensitive spaces.

There are also calm moments during Fallas: from 09:00 to 10:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00. Avoid unnecessary noise and help maintain the wellbeing of the city.

When using pyrotechnics, keep a safe distance from other people, buildings and urban furniture.

Do not handle several firecrackers at once. Responsible use prevents unnecessary risks.
