Due to the red alert for extreme heat, here are some recommendations to help ensure your wellbeing during your stay in Valencia.
- Avoid direct sun exposure between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm, and avoid strenuous physical activity.
- Stay in shaded areas whenever possible.
- Use the climate shelters. Check their locations here.
- The tourist office at the beach will remain open until 9:00 pm.
- Stay hydrated. Remember that there are nearly 80 fresh, filtered drinking water fountains throughout the city.
- Avoid unnecessary travel.
- Wear lightweight clothing, a cap or hat, and sunscreen.
- Access to La Devesa de El Saler in the L'Albufera Natural Park is closed.
- Today's July Fair activities and the Viveros concert have been cancelled.
- The special street markets in Grao, Benimàmet and Avenida del Cid will close early at 12:30 pm. The Paseo Marítimo market will close at 1:00 pm.
- Gulliver Park in the Turia Gardens is closed today.
- Don't use children's playgrounds, as the play equipment may reach extremely high temperatures.
