Puccini’s opera Turandot in Valencia
Categories: music, show.
TOURISTIC AREA: City of Arts and Alameda
The Italian composer’s greatest creation comes to the Palau de les Arts to tell a story of love, mystery and power.
The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía will be filled with excitement from 3 to 16 June 2026 with “Turandot”, Giacomo Puccini’s last masterpiece and one of the most spectacular works in the history of opera.
What’s it about?
The story revolves around Princess Turandot, a woman as beautiful as she is ruthless, who sets three riddles for anyone who aspires to win her hand.
Those who fail to solve them... die.
That is, until Calaf appears, a prince determined to win her over even if it means risking his life to do so. Will he succeed?
What’s the production like?
Turandot comes to Les Arts in a gigantic, visually spectacular version that will keep you glued to your seat.
The show is not only about beautiful voices and great musical compositions, but also features lighting effects, projections and stunning costumes.
Àlex Ollé (La Fura dels Baus) is behind this artistic project, and the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, conducted by Sir Mark Elder, will be in the pit.
If there’s only one opera you’re going to see this new season at Les Arts... make it Turandot!
