A medieval fair with dance, music, epic battles and a multicultural fiesta you can't miss
València is putting on its turban and chainmail!
The Marítimo València Moors and Christians Association is preparing a celebration that blends tradition, history, culture and plenty of partying on 18, 19 and 20 September 2026.
And there's more good news!
The Generalitat has just declared this celebration a Festival of Local Tourist Interest, recognising its cultural value, authenticity and deep roots in Valencian tradition.
Over these three days, the seafront promenade at Playa del Cabanyal —in the Las Arenas area— will fill up with plenty of craft stalls, inns and all kinds of workshops, plus music and dance everywhere you turn.
Here you'll find a lively market atmosphere, street performances and the smell of spices to whet your appetite, which is why there are also countless food stalls to grab a bite.

18 September – Embassies or "Landing" – Playa de las Arenas
- 6:00 p.m. – Children's Embassies
- 7:00 p.m. – Adult Embassies
19 September, from 6:30 p.m. – Grand Moorish-Christian Parade – Calle de la Reina
20 September 2026 – Celebration of the Patron Saint's Day – Playa de las Arenas
So what is the "Moorish-Christian parade"? A grand procession featuring Moorish and Christian squadrons, joined by farmers, dance troupes and musical groups, recreating ancient incursions along the coast.
