Moors and Christians Festival 2026 in Valencia

Categories: parties and traditions.

TOURISTIC AREA: Historical center

A medieval market, dancing, music, jousting and a multicultural festival not to be missed.

Valencia is preparing for one of the most eagerly awaited celebrations of the year: the Moors and Christians Festival 2026.

Throughout October, the city comes alive with colour, fireworks and plenty of music in a celebration of Mediterranean history and tradition.

The Turia Gardens, between Puente de la Exposición and Puente de las Flores bridges, will be the venue for the Medieval Market from 2 to 13 October.

It will bring together craft stalls, gastronomy and period shows in the middle of the old riverbed.

A real trip back in time to enjoy with family or friends!

Speaking of shows, don't miss the Grand Procession of the Moors and Christians. It's a spectacular parade in which the two sides march forward with their troops, music and all the colour of the festival, re-enacting the historic battles that give meaning to this celebration.
