Two evenings to discover the world of bats with workshops, virtual reality and nighttime searches around the park
How much do you know about bats?
BIOPARC València believes it's important to raise awareness about this fascinating mammal with «Bat Night» on October 3 and 24, 2026. Bat Night is an activity that lets you discover the world of bats through workshops, virtual reality and guided nighttime observation.
Over these two days, guided by specialists from the park's education team, you'll discover how these animals find their way in the dark, what role they play in ecosystems and why it's so important to protect them.
And of course, you'll also leave BIOPARC having debunked many of the myths surrounding these animals, such as the idea that they're blind.
What the experience is like
The evening kicks off with a presentation and a team and family quiz.
Next, an exploration table. You'll touch taxidermy specimens, examine guano under a magnifying glass and find out what shelter boxes are for.
And the virtual reality headsets? They'll take you on an immersive experience to a cave, alongside the bats, to see how they live, sleep and interact.
And once night falls, using ultrasound detectors you'll listen to the bats as they fly over the park looking for their dinner.
