La Gallera Art

La Gallera Art is a unique cultural venue situated at 7 Calle Aluders, right in the heart of Valencia’s historic centre. Housed in a building constructed in 1870, it preserves the distinctive architecture and the memory of its origins as a former cockfighting arena, a venue dedicated to cockfighting, a popular spectacle of the time. More than 150 years on, this historic venue has been revitalised with a new focus on contemporary art and culture, hosting exhibitions, presentations, events, workshops, performances and other cultural initiatives. Its distinctive architecture, history and location – just a short walk from the Central Market and the Silk Exchange – make La Gallera a unique addition to Valencia’s cultural landscape.
