Enjoy the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Marathon

On 7 December 2025, the streets of Valencia will be filled with runners from all over the world ready to conquer the 42,195 metres of one of the most prestigious marathons in the world: the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Marathon.  

Why run the marathon in Valencia? Here you will find the perfect circuit to beat your personal best. It is a completely flat route, at sea level and with ideal temperatures ranging from 12 to 17°C in December.  

What’s more, both the start (at 8.15 a.m.) and the finish line are located in the impressive surroundings of the City of Arts and Sciences.  

Although the 35,000 entries are already sold out, you can still come and cheer on the participants from anywhere along the route or enjoy the emotion at the finish line with the Palau de Les Arts special package, which includes incredible views and a delicious brunch to round off the experience.

Traffic, road closures and how to get around during the Marathon 

With thousands of runners in action and a route that passes through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, the Valencia Marathon also involves major traffic alterations. 

From first thing in the morning until after midday (from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), there will be traffic restrictions at various points, such as the historic centre, La Alameda, the area around the port, and, of course, the entire City of Arts and Sciences area.
